Revolution, Leeds

One of the surviving outlets of the supposed vodka bars. Four groups of five solos with a lager heavy choice plus of course Guinness and macro cider, as with most Call Lane bars it’s not aimed at discerning drinkers. The generously sized toilets on the first floor emphasise this is a drink till you drop type place. Low seating at the front, high in the middle by the counter and low booths further back, it’s long and thinnish. It has a photo-booth for drunken hen and stag photos and perhaps less savoury ones.

Revolution is one of many bars on Call Lane. Once inside there is a very long oblong shaped room which runs to the rear, there is a long bar which runs down the right side, there are normal tables and chairs to the front the middle area opposite the bar has tall tables and chairs, there is also bench seating and fixed mid sized stool down the rear left side, the room is bare boarded. No real ales on the bar which was no surprise for a Revolution,i had a drink of Shipyard Pale Ale which was a decent enough keg beer. The pub was quite busy on my Early Saturday evening visit with a good mix of drinkers and age types, loud background music was playing which suite me. This is a decent Revolution to have a drink in.
