The Crown, Nottingham

This is a charming pub deserving its entry in the 2011 Good Beer Guide, and has won the local CAMRA pub of the year award. It is multiroomed, and they are interesting to wander round. A large outside drinking area too. Friendly staff knowledgable about the 14 ales on offer make it rightly called a real ale emporium. Bar snacks, pork pies, sausage roll, pasties and scotch egg type of fayre along with rolls in the way of food. There is a confessional snug at the side of the main front bar. Enjoyed 3 beers from Leatherbritches here, part of a series I would think and at a reasonable £2 a pint. Cad, Bounder and Scoundrel. Also had the Blue Monkey 100 Red Baboons out to celebrate Nottingham Drinkers 100 editions. Well worth the trip out from Nottingham on bus 13 and 14 and not far from Beeston bus station.
