Mason's, York

Quiet on my visit as the kitchen was closed so as a drinker I probably caught it at its best. No real ales served.

Masons Bar & Bistro is next door to the Hop. Once inside there is a smallish oblong shaped room,the bar is to the rear right,the seating is mainly normal tables and chairs,plus a bench seat to the front right. There are no real ales on the bar,i had a drink of keg Black Sheep bitter which was a decent enough drink. Decent background music was playing and the service was friendly,there was a mix of diners and drinkers in on my Saturday dinner visit. I quite liked this bar with its nice laid back feel. Called in this bar and bistro looking for real ale, but found only font beer and creamflow. They did have some bottled beers.
