This pub is not on the site of the old cattle market,the cattle market was behind this pub and the pub that served the cattle market was the Drovers Arms this pub and the cattle market are now a tesco car park and tesco supermarket. The Durham Ox is a really decent small two roomed pub the small bar is on the left hand side and the slightly bigger lounge is on the right this is the sort of room i feel comfortable in there were four pumps on the bar with John Smiths cask,Tetley bitter and two yorkshire micros i carnt remember what i had here but it was a light drink and very well kept. this pub is well worth the shott walk down norwood from the Corner House
