Royal Oak, Fishguard

Nice looking pub with a couple of ales on. I went for Glamorgan brewery Jemima's Pitchfork which was excellent. Well worth a visit.

Historic and charming Grade 2 listed pub that had a good atmosphere and found this the best pub on my Fishguard crawl although i did not go in everyone.The pub had a good selection of cask beer and is favoured by both foodies drinkers and drinkers alike.The pub opens at 11am every day with a popular folk night every Tuesday. The peace treaty was signed in this pub with the French after the last unsuccessful attempt to invade Britain in 1797 after the women in Welsh costume are supposed to have startled the invaders.Worth a visit if you are in the area.
