Barrel House, Clifton, Bristol

A large triple fronted pub with several different bar areas and a raised section with a pool table. It was very quiet when we visited with just four other drinkers in there, and they seemed to be there for some type of meeting. It seems to have been recently refurbished judging my the condition of the place. It is opposite the student's union building, so perhaps it's busier in term time. The barmaid didn't seem to have much personality, but then possibly her grasp of English wasn't too good. Three pumps on the bar, but only one in use dispensing Courage Best. Also Blackthorn and Stowford Press cider.

me and my wife went here for sunday lunch today , was greeted with a smile and made to feel welcome as soon as we walked through the door. the food was fantastic beer was lovely. very lovely and clean we will be visiting again soon with freinds.
