The Brown Cow Inn, Dalton-In-Furness

a very old pub with some original features, down a steep hill from the town centre. far more of a destination village pub feel, with most here for food on a warm Saturday afternoon. probably the best pub in Dalton.

The Brown Cow is on the southern edge of Dalton in Furness and it is fairly close to open countryside. The Pub looks quite nice from the outside and once inside there were a couple of different rooms and these were fairly comfortable. When we went in this pub it was a Matthew Brown tied house and there were two real ales on the bar we had a drink of Matthew Brown bitter and this was a fairly decent drink the other beer was Matthew Brown mild. This was quite a nice pub and was worth the walk. Pub visited 15/4/1989
