The Harrington Arms, Derby

This roadside pub is on a corner of a busy road not far from the A6 Derby Spar, on the outer edges of the city. Having walked here from Aston I was initially disappointed to find it dark and seemingly closed, but then I realised that there is a car park, so customers are entering from behind the building. And the front door was not locked, as I had initially assumed, anyway, just pulled to. It was fairly quiet, with lunchtime diners having mostly left. The bar, made of stone and with a wooden counter, is fairly close to the front door, with rooms either side. Several hand pumps, with three beers on from Church End, Castle Rock and Bass. The last named was in very good condition: my second of the day and both NBSS 4. Date of visit: 26th April 2023
