King William, Belper

A traditional pub with an L shaped lounge and bar, with a quarry tiled floor and hops hanging from the ceilings. Three ales on handpump Timothy Taylor Landlord, Exmoor Gold and Doombar. This was a fleeting visit as the bus was due and there's only one an hour to Duffield on a Saturday. The bus stop is close to the pub, so it's handy for a quick top up.

Open L-shaped interior with a comfortable leather-seated lounge section in the small part of the L that would make you feel at home on a winter's day. On handpull was GK Abbot, Hopback Summer Lightning, Doctor Morton's Milk of Amnesia and Timothy Taylor Landlord. I liked this place and, on the basis of this visit, I would return. Worth its place in the GBG 2010.
