The Queens Arms, Yeovil

Just outside Sherborne, the Queen's Arms is a fantastic country pub with a welcoming atmosphere, good food and good ales, well worth makigj the effort to find from either the the town or the A303. The bars are cosy and comfortable, and the staff are extreemly welcoming, although some of the locals are a bit snooty. The food is expensive and is more aimed at the County set than the farm worker, but it manages not to be a gastro-pub as such. The beer is first class - I had two pints of Moors and an Adnams chaser and wish I could have stayed for more (there was one more ale and a cider I would have liked to try). I will definitely be back as this pub outclasses all the Sherborne pubs in every respect.

A must vist pub if you are in the area, flagstone floors etc. Good quality food real ale and local cider good slection of malt whiskies and wine. Good area for walking and the pub allowes muddy boots and dogs!!
