Ye Olde Vic, Stockport

The first thing I noticed here was the array of GBG stickers on the front door. Inside it's a small roughly square room with the bar on the immediate left. I found it to be delightfully tatty and scruffy with bric-a-brac everywhere. The bar has six hand pumps which had two unused, Rudgate Ruby Mild & number something, Salopian Bulletproof and Mallinsons Bramling Cross. I went for the Salopian beer (£3.50) which was so good I made sure I had time for a second. This one may not suit everyone, some people might turn up with a feather duster (I don't mean Ken Dodd). I loved it and will definitely return.
