Finally closes doors on 31st May 2014 "A MUCH-LOVED Portsmouth pub is to close its doors for the last time at the end of May. The Registry Pub has been a popular student haunt since it opened in April 1999. Despite a petition earlier this year to save ‘The Reg’ – as it’s known – it will permanently shut on May 31. The Registry, in St Michael’s Road, Portsmouth is facing plans to be developed into student halls of residence.
