The Strafford Arms, Potters Bar

This is a large pub with a good sized concreted area out the back with a smoking shelter and brick barbeque. There are some steps from this area that lead down to a huge tree lined beer garden with plenty of well spaced out picnic tables and there are even some children's toys at the far end. In the pub there was a football match on Sky Sports which was being shown on the TVs and the projector screen. The pub wasn't that busy, but everyone in seemed to be a local and I'd imagine that there is an estate nearby. I found the barmaid to be friendly enough and there is a pool table ready for use. There are five unused hand pumps, but Greene King IPA is available alongside a standard draught selection. I wouldn't go out of my way to drink here again, but if I lived locally I would use this pub for watching sports and maybe I would utilise the garden on a nice summer's day.
