The Greyhound, Barnoldswick

Known locally as the Dog, this is a community-run pub with a light and airy interior and a car park and outdoor patio area to the rear. There weren't many customers in on my early Thursday evening visit, but the young barmaid was friendly enough. With a choice of 5 ales across the handpulls, I opted for a CLoudwater Dusk, which was sweet, but enjoyable. Other beers on were Bass, Marston's Old Empire, Pictish Lancashire Best Bitter & Moorhouse's Blond Witch. This pub was the closest one to the guest house I was staying in and I was tempted to pop in for a nightcap on my way back there, especially as it was almost halfway up a hill from the town centre. However, I decided that having had a 17% beer in my final pub of the night, I wouldn't be able to taste anything weaker!
