Oscars, Tunbridge Wells

The Retreat Bar opens at midday and is open until midnight during the week, 01:30 on Fridays and 02:30 on Saturdays so I think that this place is aimed at a younger party crowd. Food is served from midday until 15:00, but I wouldn’t go here to eat and I was the only customer at 13:30 on the recent Wednesday that I visited. The interior is pretty bare with lots of standing room and I didn’t spot any hand pumps in amongst the draught taps. Karaoke is advertised for Wednesday evenings and there was some low background music playing during my stay. There is a good sized beer garden out the back with some seating. This place is probably left to the youth of Tunbridge Wells.
