The Ragged Trousers, Tunbridge Wells

in my opinion the best pub in tunbridge wells. extremely friendly staff, good food and drinks. every time we are in tunbridge wells, we just need to get in for a drink or a meal. and our 3 year old son is hopelessly addicted to one of the waitresses, this always provides some charming moments :-)

This is a small single room pub housed in a nice historic building in the touristy Pantiles part of town. Whilst the exterior of the building and it's surroundings are very pleasant, the interior was a little drab with some standard furniture and unremarkable décor. Given that it was a sunny day, we were able to take our drinks outside where there are a number of tables and chairs arranged on the street which made for good people watching. There were three ales available, including a couple of local beers. Tunbridge Wells Sovereign Blonde, Larkin's Best Bitter and Sharps Doom Bar were on in addition to some less common lagers like Staropramen and Hoegaarden as well as Stowford Press Cider. Service was quick and efficient and my pint of Sovereign Blonde was in pretty good condition. Not a great pub, but certainly a good enough bet for a nice pint.
