The Stag, Maidstone

The Sun is a very basic small L shaped pub that has a couple of café tables on the path outside the entrance from the high street. There were a few people propping up the bar during my visit last Friday afternoon and the two hand pumps were drawing Spitfire and Bombardier. A standard draught range was also available and pub grub is served from midday until 14:30 during the week. There are two plasma screens that were both off and there was some sporadic background music playing off the jukebox. There is no Sky Sports here, but karaoke is held every Wednesday, Friday and Saturday evening. I didn’t think much of this pub and wouldn’t include it on a crawl of the area again.
