Charles XII, York

This is a nice pub in a village setting and close to York university. There was one room in the pub which was fairly long with the bar running down the left hand side of it,the main drinking area had bare boards and there was a small raised area to the rear right. There were five real ales on the bar i had a drink of Marstons EPA and this was a very nice drink and a bargain at £1.68 a pint the other beers were Taylor Golden best, Black Sheep bitter, Deuchars IPA and Bombadier. The pub was fairly quiet inside because all the students were drinking in the large outside area to the rear of the pub where there was a bar B Q taking place. I thought this was quite a nice pub and well worth the walk to get here.
