The New Inn, Settle

At western end of the village. Warm atmosphere. Well & comfortably furnished. Hardy Hansons beer, which although I don't normally like, was excellent. Good bar snacks, but as usual in the Peak District, a little over priced. Meals also available but menu not inspiring. Car park at the western side of the pub. Small garden.

So impressed by this place that all I can remember about it is the loo - and I was sober. My companions remember a little more though, so here goes. Large rambling 18th century coaching house - comfortable. Copper Dragon real ale - average. Food - they had some but menu ordinary. The crisps were good though. Village is said to be the starting point of the best route up Ingleborough - passes Gaping Gill on the way to the summit.
