Bonhommes Bar, Filey

A great place, utter delight to drink in. The interior has some modern decor, which i personally dislike, however, there is enough traditional trappings and a good range of real ale to off-set this. The chap behind the bar was friendly and there was a healthy mixed clientele. Beer; several real ales (which made the Fosters sign outside a bit hard to fathom) with the JPJ the best of the bitters. IT HAD A MILD - 6%, so i hope that does not mean that the place will be forced to close! All in all the best place in Filey without a doubt.Its tucked out of the way a bit - but worth finding

Bonhommes is a nice little bar, no airs and graces - just a friendly welcome, some good ale and our Spaniel was welcome too so all boxes ticked in my opinion!

looked through the filey pubs i decided to save this one for last.Well, what can i say?? The food was good for the price and the cleanliness of a high standard but felt very intimidated by the landlord who seemed to be picking on kids outside the pub.Also,could have swore i saw him on crimewatch the other week

very disappointed with this pub.Went in for a quiet drink to find the landlord anebriated.Not a welcome sight.The language was terrible and being in my late 50s was appalled with the dirty glasses with lipstick on them.The young men who run it should stay sober enough to give the pumps a good rodding Admin Edit: Please note we have been informed of a management change.

I read the last comment and can only assume that this person went to the wrong pub,or was having a bad day in Filey, as the review on The Star in Filey which was the same person was very negative. Bonhommes is the best bar in Filey, the Landlord has just won Rural Pub of the year and the atmosphere and the Beers are fantastic , and is an excellent bar, Well Done.
