The Plough Inn, Nottingham

I have been in here many times in the last 8 years and can't believe I haven't reviewed it. My last visit was 03/11/17, the place hadn't changed, the beer was still great as was the bar banter and the darts. Always decent Nottingham Brewery beers as you would expect from the tap. Well worth the hike from the city centre, or get a bus to drop you off nearby.

The Plough is situated in the back streets of radford where there were once lots of pubs. When i first went in this pub it was a Whitbread tied house with keg Whitbread Tankard on the bar,things have improved a lot since then. The pub has still got two rooms with the bar to the right this has got a stone floor and normal tables and chairs,the lounge is to the left this room is carpeted and had comfortable bench seating with chairs,this is the room we had a drink in,there was a real fire on the go as it was quite cold for early May. There were 8 real ales on the bar 7 from Nottingham brewery and one guest beer i had a few pints of Rock bitter which was in perfect condition the other beers were Nottingham Rock mild, Legend, Supreme, EPA, Foundary mild and Centurian mild the one guest beer was Dancing Duck Gold. The pub does cobs and sandwiches to order i had a ham salad sandwich which was very nice the cheese and onion ones looked nice also. I really enjoyed my time in here and could have happily stayed all day. Pub visited 5/5/2012
