Not really my sort of place with no beers on. I had a quick Coors and moved on!

An OK place for food and drinks during the day. It is during day hours frequented by the older crowd looking for a meal and a tea or coffee while watching the news on the TV's. For those looking to visit you will find only the most commercial and well known of beers as this bar tends to shift into appealing to the young crowd and several miscreants during the afternoon to night time. During that time It is an almost no go zone, one of my friends was 'glassed' in this bar, I myself have been set upon after leaving the toilet facilities (Broken locks and unwashed walls when I went in) and seeing a man cutting up a white narcotic substance and handing it over to another person with money in their hand (I kid you not!). There have been a handful of times when I lived in Cannock that ambulances were called because people had too much to drink or were under the influence of narcotics, two of my female friends who shall remain nameless have had their drinks spiked in this bar. The clientèle during the late afternoon to night is often the stereotypical 'Chav' and the more shady characters but you do get some nightclub revellers in there. Indeed the only reason I ever go in is because all my old school mates go there otherwise I tend to avoid it. The pub décor and staff are not to be faulted however, the staff are friendly and the décor somewhat contemporary to a nightclub sort of style. The food is of a good quality and of a good range with several food clubs going on. There is for the daytime people a pool table to play on for at my last visit was about 30p. Overall an excellent place to eat, drink and chat during the day but a place to avoid on the night time, especially Friday's and Saturday's. However I suppose some people may enjoy this bar but unfortunately I don't. I suppose it depends on your personality.
