The Shrewsbury Arms, Dudley

There was a gas shortage in the Shrewsbury Arms when I visited on a recent Wednesday evening, so the standard keg products were unavailable. I ended up with a bottle of Heineken for £2.50. A laminate bar area is found to the right of the entrance faced by a serving counter up the right. To the left and rear are carpeted seating areas, this isn’t a big pub. The service was friendly, but I was the only customer. This may have been due to the lack of draught beer, or maybe the presence of the police outside who were mob handed waiting for a tow-truck to take away a suspicious vehicle.
