The James Watt (JD Wetherspoon), Greenock

Although as noted below this was a Post Office building I thought it looked much more like an old bank, both inside and out. It's a high ceilinged open plan L shaped room with some very ornate lighting making it one of the grander looking Spoons. There are just six hand pumps which had Abbot, Doom Bore, Hobgoblin, Celt Bleddyn, Skye Gold and Kelburn Cart Noir. I went for the Celt Bleddyn and immediately regretted it as it was complete rubbish compared to the old Celt Experience brew despite being in good condition. Ignoring the Celt beer this seemed to be a better than average Spoons and is GBG listed in a town that What Pub describes as a beer desert. I can't find any reason to doubt that.
