The Robert Nairn (JD Wetherspoon), Kirkcaldy

This pub is part of the J.D. Wetherspoon group and The Robert Nairn being a Lloyds No 1. This pub opened on: 21 Dec 1999. This pub is named after a member of the Nairn family, helping to put Kirkcaldy on the map. In 1847, Michael Nairn started a floor-covering factory. He was so successful that others set-up similar businesses, and Kirkcaldy became the renowned as the 'linoleum centre of the world'. One of the Nairn's many gifts to the town included the land, which was donated by Robert Nairn to build the Trustees Savings Bank (TSB), which is now this Wetherspoon pub. The pub has with a split-level lounge and pictures of old Kirkcaldy on the walls. There are six hand pumps pumping out beers and ales. This pub serves 2 regular beers Caledonian Deuchars IPA and Greene King Abbot. There are large TV's which show various sporting events and news stories. As I visited at 09:00am I found the place was not very busy so I was served very quickly. The problem with staffing seems inherent to most Wetherspoon’s.

I have to agree with the last review, I can't add anymore give this pub a miss.

This pub must have thee worst service ever..everytime you go in there is never enough bar staff on and you have to wait forever to be served by an inexperienced bar person with no manners, they would rather talk to their friends that serve you. You get your drink and sit down everytime to a table that has not been cleaned, you have to ask for the table to be cleaned, what is happening to customer services it is at a zero in this pub.
