The Jack Fairman (JD Wetherspoon), Horley

Just a square box really but there was a fair range of local real ales on which were on good form.

A half-decent 'Spoons, The Jack Fairman is a modern commercial building (ex-department store?)converted into a beer shop. It's a bit of a barn, with a high, industrial looking ceiling, though it does have a set of cosy-looking snugs along one side and large arch windows to the front. The single bar is sort of triangular in shape (teh bar forms the third side), and the pub is sited conveniently to the station - ideal for a quick beer during that mad dash to shop before arriving at Gatwick. The clientele was mainly the more sedate type, although I was told it can get a bit rowdy at weekends. There were 4 ales on, and I had a pint of fff Moondance. It was a pretty good pint, although it had possibly been sittin gin the pump a bit too long so wasn't in the best condition. I would happily come in again for a pint next time I'm passing.
