The Doctors, Gloucester

A large 'spoons extending through various seating area to a large paved garden area which sadly proved to be the highlight of the visit,despite the obvious rodent traps place in the foliage around the perimeter.Sad to report no care taken with ale quality,so despite a wide range of beers this proved to be a very brief visit.

A typical standard large 'Spoons with the advantage of a reasonable sized garden at the back which was popular on the warm evening of our visit. Six ales on: Prescott Grand Prix, Goff's Summer Knight, Coach House Post Horn, Purity Pure Gold, Abbott and Ruddles Best. On the basis that Spoons beer quality is so variable we went for a reasonably strong one, Post Horn at 5% plus, in the hope that it would be in decent nick. It wasn't. Vinegary and undrinkable. I won't return.

Smaller than the Regal around the corner this pub had a fair range of real ales with the Purity Mad Goose in good form.Usual food deals.
