Impressive building, right on the bridge. Open before midday - for which we were grateful, being the half way point in an 8 mile walk from Grassington. Typical pubby feel inside, with decent ales on. Dark Horse Hatton Pale Ale in fine condition. Lovely.

Nicely situated next to the river this pub had the feel of a manor house come pub/restaurant/hotel. The bar area where we sat had a few taxidermy items. It was probably the one room where the tables and chairs looked a little tired. The dining room and the barn-like function room looked quite smart. The patio alongside the river was large, partly covered and would be a good place to spend a summer evening. The service seemed friendly. On handpull there was Theakston’s Best Bitter (a good pint), Theakston’s Light, Copper Dragon and Timothy Taylor Landlord.
