I was rather unsure what the previous use of this building would have been but the JDW web site confirms it was a shop and a Co-Op before they took it on. It's a long narrow room with a raised area to the left, the bar on the right and a patio at the far rear. Some of the punters seemed to be red faced old coots with the ruddy complexion coming from a day wasted on the nearby golf course rather than necking pints of rough cider in here. It was packed with mostly people after food on an early Tuesday evening. The bar only has two sets of four hand pumps which had two unused, Ruddles, Doom Bore, a cider, Peerless Langton Spin, Brain's SA and Wells Bombardier. I went for the Peerless beer which was in good nick. I thought this was a reasonable Spoons but it's a shame about the average beer choice.
