The Windsor, Birmingham

A normal city centre eatery/beery pub. There are indeed 5 real ales and not too bad a selection either as none of them were your standards. I didn't mind it.

As pointed out previously this is a Wetherspoons alike with cheap food and drink deals and the clientelle from the lower end of the market ! Its a pleasant enough looking pub but once inside its just one big bland room . Five handpulls with mostly nationals GK ipa , Bombardier etc , the only slightly intresting beer was Everards Sunchaser which was just about OK . Very busy on my Saturday afternoon visit .

The Windsor is situated fairly close to New Street station. Once inside there is a large square shaped room with the bar facing,the room is carpeted and had bench seating and normal tables and chairs,there was a raised area which was behind the bar. There were five pumps on the bar but only one in use on my visit,this had Pedigree on which was a decent drink and also cheap for Birmingham. The pub was packed with a mixed bunch on my late Saturday afternoon visit,there was also some decent background music playing. This pub is ok for a quick drink. Pub visited 17/8/2013
