The Lamp Tavern, Walsall

Cant add much of real value to the previous reviewers comments. Called in around 1pm on a weekday to sample the fine Holden's mild which was spot on,and apart from that needed to seek refuge from the incessant snow.There were 5 cask beers on show (4 functioning)plus an open fire and drinks at economical prices.

The Lamp Tavern was my reason for coming to Bloxwich. This pub is close to the town centre and is a stand alone pub,once insidde there was one room that was fairly basic but comfortable enough,this is an Holdens tied house and there were two of their beers on the bar i had a drink of Holdens bitter and this was a really nice drink and i also had a drink of Holdens mild and this was also very nice. The pub was fairly busy and there was a nice atmosphere in here. Pub visited 9/12/2000
