Fifteens, St. Annes Town Centre, Lytham St. Annes

One of the Fifteens empire of traditional northern pubs. in its heartland of Wigan this chain is struggling a bit nowadays and certainly can’t be relied on for decent ale, however this one seems to have a consistently good reputation. five of the handpumps were clipped on my Saturday evening visit but I couldn’t battle through the crowd of FOOTY LADS ordering bottles and shots so I eventually gave up and went for my train. frankly, the place is a bit worse for wear but it is still a stunning interior and it wouldn’t take too much investment to bring it back. I would return, hopefully on a day that isn’t a FA Cup final bank holiday Saturday.

Well described below by Real Ale Ray,and i also was impressed with the large stained glass windows and also the high decrotive ceiling.The pub has now got 8 handpumps all of which were functioning.Certainly worth a visit if in the area.

Excellent bar, a bit different from the usual, subdued orange lighting, mezzanine floor, comfy seating. Excellent beer and choice

This is arguably the best pub in St Annes. A decent variety of real ales on on my visit with 6 ales on and all different, from light to dark ales. Extensive descriptsions of the pub elsewhere. A good pub.
