This is a Fuller’s house with the standard range, except that the Chiswick was off. The London Pride was good, but not cheap at £3.25 a pint. They do food, advertised on printed sheets affixed to clipboards on the tables. Mains are in the £7 - £9 range – e.g. cod, chips and peas at £8.50. Sarnies are around the £6 mark, except that they were doing an off peak deal of some kind, knocking them out at £5 a throw. I had a Cumberland sausage and caramelised onion baguette, which would normally have been £5.50, and was OK without being anything special. This pub is typical of a dozen other Fuller’s high street acquisitions/conversions that I’ve been in. It’s bare boarded, has the standard high stools and high tables; sofas and coffee tables in the window areas, plus some normal height chunky tables and chairs. Everything is upholstered in a dark brown plastic. There’s nothing on the walls worth mentioning. This is a pretty ordinary place, and not really worth going out of your way to find unless you are a fan of Fuller’s ales.
