The New Inn, Selby

A delightful heritage interior, and the lass who served me was very interested in my mission to visit 10 pubs in Selby, of which this was my third. It was very quiet, and in fact I was the first customer and interrupted her bringing out a vacuum cleaner. My half of Landlord was ok, but not impressive - but when is it, these days? I'd be happy to call in again if I make it back to Selby

Nice interior but sadly with nasty beer, Doombar on one pump, reversed Landlord clip on t'other, judging by the Doom that was a blessing. The barmaid was non-plussed when I ordered Doombar and the pump actually creaked when used. Two rooms, snug to left, main bar to right, faux Victorian as usual but nicely done with odd original touches if you look. Old photo decor and more bloody loud music - what is it with Selby?
