The Wharf Tavern, Stalybridge

One of the 'flat iron' style of pubs. Nice enough but with inconvenient midweek opening hours.

A very neat and tidy pub with fairly old fashioned decor. As you enter there's a small comfortable snug to the right, the main area is to the left. There's also a large function room at the other side of the bar. There's some nice tiling and a dartboard and the pub does accomodation. 3 ales available on the bar Thwaites Wainwright & Lancaster Bomber plus Bombardier. I had a chat with the friendly landlady whilst supping my Wainwright which was in good condition. This is a proper pub and long may it continue to be.
