The Pheasant Inn, Chester

Stuck out in the middle of the Cheshire countryside down a dead end road , the pub is built from the local sandstone with half timbered uppers , to my untrained eye it looks like it was originally a Farmhouse belonging to a Lord of the Manor not one of the peasants , the inside has many rooms of varying sizes with lots of wood panels ,low beams and several fireplaces , its a bit like drinking in a National Trust theme park . The food has a very good reputation and most rooms were set out for dining , the small bar area has four Handpulls with 3 from Weetwood and the pubs own branded Pheasant Gold(Cheshire Brew Bros), staff were pleasant if a little bit aloof . This is an intresting pub to visit .
