The Ale House, Colchester

Ale House is an apt description, with 10 pulls on the bar, while you'll get nothing craftier than Neck Oil if that's your drink of choice. Larger inside than it might appear from the road with plentiful tables. It's also more opened out than it appeared from the road, when I pitched up as daylight started to fade. There is, however, a noticeable musty smell indoors which I never quite came to terms with. In summary then, it's obviously popular with its regular crowd and worth a pint or two of your time.
