Now a gastropub called 'The Hunter S'

This is a large pub with limited seating, but there are two pool tables and at least three plasma screens and a projector for showing football on Sky Sports. It was reasonably quiet during my visit last Thursday night and the twenty something crowd in attendance all seemed to be locals who had been on the sauce for a few hours. I was accused of taking someone’s £11 change off the bar and after a brief stand-off the accuser found it and was more than apologetic , didn’t by me a drink though! There’s only a standard draught selection here, but the Guinness was good and the barmaid was very friendly. There are some railings out the front that enclose some seating and standing room under an awning. This is not really my sort of place, but I imagine there is a good atmosphere when the football is on.
