The Florence, Islington, N1

This place is just off the main drag meaning that the drunken masses that crawl along Upper Street don't venture in here so a decent pint can be had without being imposed upon. I found the barmaid to be extremely friendly and she poured a good pint of Guinness. Adnams, Bass and Pride were also available during my visit alongside a standard draught selection and San Miguel. The décor is a bit bland, but there are a couple of flat screen TVs and the pub shows Sky Sports. My only couple of complaints would be that the background music sounded like someone had turned on a portable radio in the far corner of the pub and there were a few too many fruit flies buzzing around my pint for my liking. This place is advertised outside as a proper pub and I would agree that it is and I would go back again if in the area.
