Lord Atterbury, Manchester

When i went in this pub it was called the Land O' Cakes. The Land O' Cakes was a largish pub that fronted onto the very busy great ancoats street,once inside the pub had been opened out into one large room but this still had different drinking areas,the room was carpeted and i thought it was quite smart and comfortable. The pub was a Whitbread tied house and there were two real ales on the bar i had drink of Chesters bitter and this was a decent drink the other beer was Boddingtons bitter. I thought this was a decent enough pub to have a few drinks in. Pub visited 29/12/1992

Rude unfriendly staff. Pay before you eat then if theres a problem with any of the food they refuse to acknowledge it. Mains courses were very nice but starter of mussels in a cream and wine sauce were sent back. The landlords response the cream is curdled theyre supposed to be like that. Never been treated in such an appalling manner as in this place and we eat out often. Would never return and we spend alot of time in Penrith.
