Joiners Arms, Crook

It may be an OK pub for food but do not bother to visit for a drink only. You are treated as second class citizens. Whist waiting at the bar my wife was ignored twice whilst diners jumped in front of her to pay their bills. When I came to the bar and remarked how rude that was, the young barman angrily retorted "It is not rude, we are short staffed [?!] and don't come back here". His wish will be granted.

I like this pub alot. Good food, good people, friendly, cosy and sometimes just really good fun. The Chef cooks up both regional and international food but likes to source locally where possible and the prices are great. It's credit crunch time so finding a place that is warm, inviting and able to serve up quality food at a very reasonable price is something of a boon! UPDATE The Joiners Arms is being refurbished bit by bit. It is still OPEN and still fab!
