The Lord Rosebery (JD Wetherspoon), Scarborough

ITS a spoons thats all you can say theres good ones and bad ones this one is in the middle. When i was working for Marstons Inns and Taverns a dray man called Barry told me the ugliest people live in Scarborough sat in the window watching out and Barry you are right

Came in for food and a drink. Not a lot of choice on the bar so chose a couple of halves of Hobgoblin. First they didn't want to accept CAMRA voucher as it was 2 halves, so I said put them in a pint glass and we'll share. He took the voucher. Instead of telling me how much he wanted he proceeded togive me change even though I had coins in my hand to pay him. OK we had a laugh about it. The beer though was tasteless, and I know it is usually ok as we had an excellent one in York the day before. Food was ordered and curry fine, but the desert wasn't on so he decided to put a dearer desert on without telling us. Someone sorted it out for us but not good service here at all, and beer a bit iffy.

Large Wetherspoon's opposite Scarborough railway station.On my visit there were several local brews on offer and every one that I tried were in very good order and of course at a very reasonable price and staff were very friendly.
