Thatched House, Poulton-Le-Fylde

This is a pub that's been GBG listed for years and since 2014 has been the home of the Chapel Street brewery. It was busy on my Wednesday evening visit so that and lack of time meant I didn't have as long to stay as I would have liked. It's a roughly rectangular room with a wooden floor and a mixture of seating. The bar has a huge set of hand pumps, fourteen I think with beers from their own brewery and guests (I noted Bowland and sadly Doom Bore). I went for the Chapel Street Winter Ale (£2.70 after discount) which was in first class condition and better value than the pint tried in the town Spoons. I'll give it a strong 8 that may well get upped if I get the chance to return.

A cracking pub just down the road from the station. A large building in traditional pub style. Basically open plan with a few offshoot drinking areas. 14 handpumps serving 9 cask ales and a cider. Recommended.

Got off the train to Blackpool had a walk in my old territory Wednesday 15th of Feb. Called the Thatched its what a call a perfect pub nice and clean no kidds and excelent staff nice range of beers and a beer festival advertised. Its a pub i will always call in. It was about 1 pm not many people in but its the sign of the times
