All day breakfasts/carvery style coaching house that I have been past hundreds of times but took a Ramblers walk to prompt me to venture in. A large car park, which bizarrely was hosting a popular meat wagon at the far end. Only diversification will save the pubs. Inside, its for people looking for cheap eats. One of the ramblers said you could get a meal and a pint for a tenner but he was old, and may have been getting whisful. I can tell you that a pint and a packet of scratchings is £6.25. I know this as I had to add the scratchings to get over the minimum £5 card charge. That pint was a the only cask - Purity Mad Goose. I asked for sample before trusting it and it was in fine condition.

Must once have been a coaching inn, but now thoroughly reconfigured inside into a carvery-type Marston's pub / restaurant. Partly opened-out to leave a variety of seating / dining areas, all with rather plain semi-modern furniture and decor. Also has some patio tables by the main (side) entrance. Disappointingly, just Banks's Sunbeam (£3.95) from the pair of handpumps.
