The Fat Boar, Mold

Standard food led venue with option for drinking only

Having already been to the Wrexham branch of the Fat Boar earlier in the afternoon, I was hoping to find a much better beer in this branch, especially seeing as though it is one of 3 Good Beer Guide entries for the town of Mold. However, the Fat Boar cannot hold a candle to the excellent Mold Alehouse and the Gold Cape. In fact, I arrived to find a grand total of zero real ales. I was left with a keg choice of Guinness, Fat Boarder Lager, San Miguel, Estrella Damm, Bad Apple, Wrexham Lager & Premium Pilsner, Asahi or Madri. I chose a bottle of J20 that was given to me with the cap still on! Apparently the young barmaid who had greeted me and served me was working her first day. Primarily a dining establishment, apparently you can get a CAMRA discount off the non-existent ales. The interior was nice enough. But I'd be hoping for something better than a soft drink.
