ReviewSadly "The Hole" as it is known (from its location nothing else)is closed and boarded up. The carpark has become a fly-tippers heaven.
Very sad to see the old place.
Before the advent of the railway the pub was known as The James Bridge Tavern.
Amended to:Despite the other two contributions being written by the landlord's children , they are correct . It's a great wee pub .
No hassle , good beer , friendly staff/customers .
Full age-range catered for , though tending towards the middle-aged group .
Beer - Tennant's Special / Belhaven Best & Light . Lager-Tennant's / Carling . Good selection of whiskies for this non-whisky drinking age .
Sky TV , music nights Thursday and some Saturdays .
Only 5 minutes walk from Hamilton Central Station - highly recommended to visitors .
Glad I've started drinking here again .
