The Central, St. Andrews

My first comment was going to be that the Central Bar has a central bar, but then I noticed the previous review! But as below, I found this reminiscent of pubs I've visited in Edinburgh. I too missed the CAMRA discount, but didn't notice a sign near the toilets. It was busy on our Sunday lunchtime visit. Quite a few people were eating. Despite their being only 3 real ales, the beer range appears to be a bit more adventurous now. Greene King Abbot is available, in addition to Harviestoun Ptarmigan & Redcastle The Red Lady. The barman recommended and offered me a taster of the Ptarmigan, which was quite frankly vile. The Red Lady was in a much better condition, in common with most beers I had in Fife.
