The Crown Hotel, Langholm

Just a basic pub/hotel with no real ales. Not a bad place, gets one or two locals sitting at the bar and the meals are fairly cheap. Theres a bit of a horseracing theme to the place a big saddle over the door horseshoes everywhere and horseracing on the tv. Dark pannels, dirty tiled floor, its not the tidiest of places but it does have a good wood fire blazing in winter.

We were lucky enough to come accross this delightful hotel whilst searching for accomodation on our way through Scotland. We only stayed the 1 night unfortunately, the rooms were great, the staff friendly, the dinner we had in the restaurent magnificent and the local patrons very entertaining. Called in for a meal on our return from Edinburgh,and thought it was good value for money with helpings on the large side.
