The New Bazaar, Dumfries

Nice pub near the river. Only 2 of us in. Four real ales - cant remember what they were but 2 of them were theakstons. The beer was pretty good and there was a good selection of whiskys. Basic furnishings 1 bandit 1 jukebox 6 stools at the bar hard wearing industrial carpet. The landlord doesent smile much but he keeps a mean pint. Fairly impressed 7.

We found this to be a very welcoming place. We ordered our drinks and looked around for somewhere to sit, but it was a bit full in the bar area. The landlord instantly said "Give me a minute and I'll get the fire going in the other room" which he promptly did. Several guest ales a couple of which are from micro's, loads of malts, even had a decent wine for the other half. Called in again the following day for more of the same.
