The pubs has a name change from the closed down Libertine to The Burns. Not a lot of change inside when it was called an earlier name of Burns Tavern. But still pleasant enough inside. A good place to go when the wife visits the shops on this side of the Ayr River. A much quieter side of Ayr.

The pub used to be called Burns Tavern. Now called the Libertine. Now at 25/10/2011 it appears to be closed. Multi-faceted riverside pub located close to Ayr's shops, including a large TK Maxx next door. Daytime customers are attracted by the cafe-style coffee offer whilst evening trade is driven by live music. This recently refurbished outlet now needs an operator with music experience who can also grow the food trade.Libertine represents a rare opportunity to operate a recently refurbished venue on the riverside in Ayr. Downstairs is a bar and coffee venue open from 10am, whilst upstairs has a separate live music venue, open until midnight. Libertine has recently been refurbished and embraces cafe bar culture combining a strong coffee offer with premium wine and beer sales.
